FAQ

How long does eyeliner last?

The eyeliner best effect typically last about 12 to 18 months, depending on individual skin type. Commonly it will eventually fade off completely after 2 or 3 years. Client with dry skin tends to hold pigments better, some client takes 5 years to fade off completely.

Why does my eyeliner fades quicker?

There are several factors that will caused premature fading such as iron deficiency, sun exposure, exfoliants, strong immune systems and exposure to salt water.

Yes. There will be soreness on the eyelid immediately after the procedure or once the numb effect subsides but it should not affect your daily activities. Swelling is expected on the following day, do use cold compress to reduce swelling effectively; swelling usually subsides after 4 to 6 hours.

Can I still apply eye makeup after this?

No, makeup around the eye area should be avoided for the next 10 days.

Is it possible to cleanse or wet the eyeliner?

No. When eyeliner gets in touch with water for prolonged periods of time may cause premature lifting of your scabs and increase the chance of infections and loss of pigment. If you get them wet, you must blot them dry immediately to avoid complications and undesired results such as smudgy blurred lines, scar tissue, and uneven pigment.

You also must avoid sweating in that area for at least 10 days. Salt draws out pigment and you will be left with undesirable results.

Chemicals found in makeup and cleansers may alter the color of the pigment and affect the healing process so it would be best to wash around it.

Will I need a touch-up?

Touch-up session is required for first-time client. The touch-up is best done within 4 to 6 weeks from the first session to attain best effect.

Subsequently, we recommend touch-up every 12 to 18 months.

The treatment takes 2 to 2.5 hours.

Can I do this treatment when I'm pregnant?

No. Numbing cream contains a certain percentage of Lidocaine which effects the developing foetus. We definitely welcome you to enjoy the treatment after birth.

Is this process/treatment painful?

No. Topical anaesthetic cream for numbing is applied before and throughout the procedure for maximum comfort. Many client described the feeling is similar to threading or dull scratching, while others feel more sensitive.
